I recently installed Pitbull (after learning about it here on this community) to replace my old frames addon. It's a lot more detailed than I'm used to, but I was doing pretty well figuring things out, I think. However I'm having a problem when it comes to the party's pets frames. I had set them up the way I like them once, with the pets frames being smaller than that of the party members. Unfortunately something happened and the next time I logged in they were back to the way they used to be (huge and chunky in the middle of the screen). I went to make them smaller again, but this time when I tried to shrink the pet frames, the party member frames started shrinking too, and vice-versa. Is there anyway to fix this, so that I can change one without it affecting the other again?

Okay...so it's my guild.  Although we're trying to keep things friendly and low-stress, raids will be happening.  I appointed the raid team coordinator and OK'd the allied guilds.  BUT...I'm a complete raid n00b...which is why I'm looking for help.

So my raid team coordinator sought the advice of the leader of one of my allied guilds.  Who promptly talked the coordinator (AKA the bizarkognome) into respeccing prot.  Now, they're trying to talk me into respeccing resto. 

Now...yes, healers are hard to come by, DPS is a dime a dozen, et cetera.  But I've made it clear that my experiences being any kind of major healer as a shaman (even during the time when I was, briefly, specced resto) have been very, very bad.  And it fundamentally bothers me that there seems to be a mentality, when it comes to raids, that there's no place for a hybrid class who's not specced to either tank or heal.

So...am I being irrational here, or is the allied guild leader?  (For the record...I have started reading Totem Talk on a more regular basis.  And I can certainly off-heal—even as elemental—provided the tank is anywhere near competent.  But the idea of being either railroaded into respeccing—which costs money, and which I've already done too many times—or possibly getting edged out of raid slots just doesn't sit well with me.)

Sorry to have 2 posts back to back, but the guild "Eternity" (the name on my original charter) has been registered JUST this morning. [cue sobs]

So, I'm having to think of a new name. We'd like a single word name, and are hoping to be a raiding guild.

...sigh.

Any suggestions that would sound mature, but not ZOMGSRSBZNSONLY ? I pitched all the ideas given from my "guild name suggestion" post, but they want to go with a single word. Sigh!

I'm trying to start a bank/alt guild. If anyone would be kind enough to help me get all 9 signatures I would really appreciate it. My alt banker's name is Zozobra on Crushridge and she's camped out in the blood elf starting area.

not only do i love the movies, the characters, the whole schabang... but now i've found the books. so far i've read:

Hellboy - Unnatural Selection, Tim Lebbon
Hellboy - The God Machine, Thomas E. Sniegoski

i actually picked up the God Machine at Monday at noon and finished it 4:00 yesterday (i was able to read for about an hour at work since i was helping out reception hehe)

i'm pretty sure i'm reading them out of order, but its kind of like the Indiana Jones books which are mostly self-contained stories that run kind of in a series. i am trying to grab them as i see them as some stores have them, some don't, some have 1, some have lots.

i must confess i didn't know about Hellboy until the first movie. but he has instantly become one of my favourites in the comic genre.

but if you too love everything about the big red guy, i'd recommend the books.

1) Lock Announce Add-on?
So I'm looking for some sort of add-on that JUST does the announce when I banish something (and announces if it breaks early), summon someone, and SS someone. I am not looking to get a whole new UI JUST the announce add-on. I can find "packages" that include a UI and all sorts of things but not just the simple announce. Please to be helping!

2) Lock Macros
Locks, what macro can you just NOT live without? I've been looking for a banish/focus macro that is easy to use and/or any other macro that you just love.

The blue eyed lady didn't seem to mind that my head was full of fog. Eventually she asked if i'd like to go with them to the desert. That I really ought to see it. And, hey mother, show her the desert. They lived in a big house. The mother led me from the livingroom/kitchen to a smaller room with sliding glass doors. When we stepped outside we were already there. It was vast and beautiful in the twilight. It wasn't a desert of deep sands, for there were some lengths of exposed grey rock. I was walking across this distance, enchanted, when all of a sudden the view ahead of me became solid and I was confronted with a bar. The alchohol serving kind.  There were other folks long since seated and laughing it up.

So our guild is running ZA tomorrow night for the second night. We've gotten Jen'Alai down with this group. (Monday night, a first for our guild!)

I'm wondering if anyone can offer some tips for Hex Lord Malacrass & Zul'jin.

I respec'ed Holy for these runs since it was me and a rather under geared back up healer. (He barely made stats.)

I'm interested in tips and pointers for the raid, and if you have any for healers specifically, I'd really appreciate it.

I'm VERY excited about this run, it should be a blast. We have an outstanding strategist and a group that takes direction really well.

Being a lover of Trolls, and seeing as I only player Troll females. This was bound to happen with all theERP in SMC this days. Rwarr

I was just thinking, given all the responses to my post about having to pay bills versus WoW... after rereading my post I want to apologize for maybe making it sound like I was actually fighting with myself about if I should buy a Game Card or if I should pay my bill. I of cousre will pay my bill, it is but a game. And all of your responses I do agree with...

Hah, I'm not that far gone that I would not do the prudent and responsible thing. :P Just thought I would clarify. And was trying to be comical.

I don't know why I feel the need to post this here, other than the fact that I think it would be helpful to hear other ladies' stories if they have been in similar situations.

So.. I currently live on the east coast and play on a CST server.

Is it bad that when one of the most irritating people in our guild brings his "uber" shadow priest to BT, and I end up 2nd on dmg and he's 13th, I get this evil gleeful giggle in my head?

Sorry, just had to share.  I finally get some validation that this person has no idea wtf they're doing.

Now when I started WoW I had friends in a hard core raiding guild and I'd say to myself "I won't care about raiding." Flash forward to my first 70 and my first few steps into Kara... I love raiding. Not for the loot but for the people I run with. I like that a group of us can go into a place, work together and get a goal done. Made me a happy rogue...

Then came summer, and no one coming to raids when they signed up for them and guildies not logging on since we weren't going to raid, and I saw a sad rogue. I started to really work on my Priest telling myself when she got 70 I'd spec for healing and maybe that would help. A few other guildies also have alts who they are working with to get to be raiders when they are 70... but we were still not raiding...

Until last night!

With another guild who wanted to raid T5 content and not enough people we tried a group run in TK for Void Rever. For the other guild this would be their first time going against VR and for our guild we'd not done a run in at least 1 1/2 months if not more so we were a little rusty. After starting late we got and down VR in 2 attempts and took less than 2 hours!

It was my first time in the fight and thinking I'm an okay rogue (I'm sure there is more I can do for my gear and my spec is not a raiding spec but it's one I enjoy) I'm proud I only died 3 times and 2 of those times were during wipes. I also found out later I was 9th on DPS which I feel good about.

We're hoping to raid again with the guild and if we can get started sooner maybe try for VR and the Al'ar in TK or maybe even some SSC.

I just needed to share because this one little night got my guild excited again and we hope to progress again. I'm just happy because we're all working together again as a large group and having fun doing so.
